an introduction to three thrones

▍ ❝ I.
A once abandoned project from my middle school years, now revived thanks to Dungeons and Dragons, "Three Thrones" is a working title to refer to my high fantasy project. It has also been called "Skyridge" or "Skyridge and Hearth" as it followed the lore for my character, Rexford Pyrenees.
There are three different time periods that are focused on during the project, before and after the formation of the Guild of the Scarlet Dawn, and the beginning of the Beyondland expeditions.

▍ ❝ VERSE TWO.
Centuries ago, humanity and Drageons were trapped in the endless cycle of war. It was only stopped by the Deities Rutheros and Deltus demanding them to come to a truce, finally bringing the end of the Ablaze Era. Both humanity and Drageons were punished by the Gods in order to prevent further conflict from arising - both were weakened and given limited life spans. Now, humanity and Drageons live alongside each other in tense peace eight thousand years later.

▍ ❝ III.
"Three Thrones" is my current main focus project and is the current focus of the RPGmaker game I am developing: "Three Thrones Adventure" (working title). It will be the small part of possible a larger game I might develop as apart of the main story of Three Thrones. A demo will be added to this page as soon as it is completed.

▍ ❝ Commission Terms of Service.
When commissioning me, you must agree to the terms and conditions that are listed below. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me! The best way to contact me is through Tumblr or Bluesky DMs, or through sending my commission Discord a friend request (@dearcheshirestudio).

I have the right to deny a commission for any reason.
I accept payment over Paypal invoice, Kofi, Venmo, Cashapp, or Discord Nitro. I do not accept any form of digital currencies or vouchers.
Payment will be sent after the approval of the second sketch. I typically do two to three sketches before doing line art, so payment will be requested after the second is approved.
Once the line art is completed and approved, no refund will be given for any reason. This includes if you decide to cancel the commission after line art is completed.
There is an unlimited amount of changes you can make during the sketch phase without any extra charge. Major changes in the line art after approval will incur a line art adjustment fee starting at $3.
I charge an additional 30% fee for people who do not have a flat colored reference sheet. I can work written descriptions or mood boards but not having a visual reference to work off requires more work and approvals. This fee will be discussed when determining payment for the commission.
I have an up to 40% complexity fee for complex and detailed characters. This fee will be discussed when determining payment for the commission.
The art piece will be delivered within one to two months of the commission being started. It might be delivered sooner or later, but this will be communicated to the client. I do not take rush commissions (commissions that must be finished under one week) because I am a full time student who works part time.
You are allowed to post the finished commission on social media but you are required to link credit back to myself by providing a direct link and/or @.

▍ ❝ Adopt Terms of Service.

I can also accept art as payment, however I prefer quality over quantity.
Your character must credit me as the original creator somewhere. You don't have to credit me everytime the character is drawn/posted, but have it somewhere alongside the design's information.
All of my adopts come with an optional Toyhouse page and a Toyhouse code. If you create a page, please ensure I am credited as the artist under "creator".
You are free to change the character's sex, gender, gender expression, name, colors, markings, patterns, height, body type, etc as you wish. I only ask that you keep the core traits of the character.

▍ ❝ I will not draw the following:

Hate speech or hateful symbols
NSFW, kinks, fetish, or suggestive content. This includes non-sexual or non-obvious kinks or fetishes.
Gore, visible injuries or large amounts of blood.
Large weaponry (large round guns, tanks, missiles etc)
Non-humanoid or furry-shaped robotic characters (i.e. mechs), futuristic armor

art process

I do a tough sketch to get the general shape of the piece down.
Fixing up anatomy and adding clothes, backgrounds, or props.
Third sketch, sometimes a fourth, to clean up what will be the baseline for the final line art. I typically spend the longest amount of time during this sketch.
Baseline line art. I sometimes add additional line variation.
Coloring! My favorite thing. I also add simple textures for fur/hair markings by using a painting brush.
"Rendering". Shading, lighting, highlights, more texture, etc. Adding the pretty details. This is also the step where I color my line art.
